At Little Victories we pride ourselves on our wonderful staff! We have competent, college-trained teachers that have formal training in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Sociology, Physical Education, Psychology and Human Services. Our staff meets the needs of your child’s physical, emotional and intellectual needs on a daily basis and they are dedicated to provide your children the quality care they deserve! Additionally our staff is always taking continuing education classes to improve their knowledge that pertains to the development of young children. Combined our staff has over 100 years of experience with children…Now that’s impressive!!
Melissa – Director
Melissa earned her BS Degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato and has been working with children from six weeks old to school-age since 1997 in a variety of settings, primarily child care centers. She enjoys getting to know families and having a positive impact on children’s lives by ensuring their health and safety and providing care that nurtures their personalities, bodies and minds. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys being at home with her family, which includes her husband Scott, son Sam (11), daughter Isabella (8), two cats and one small dog. Her hobbies include reading, golfing, gardening, and snowboarding.She is excited to be a part of the team at Little Victories providing excellent care to children and families in the Stillwater community!
Lovely Ladybugs (infants)
Alison – Alison has over 10 years of experience in working with children of all ages. In addition to her experience with children, she has a law degree from Hamline University. What she enjoys the most about being a teacher is laughing with the children, she finds the things they say very funny! She is married and has 2 sons ages 1 and 3 yrs. old.
Jodi – Jodi has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of MN. she loves working with toddler because it is never boring. She feels that children are very sweet and loves how expressive they can be. Jodi is married and has 3 children. She likes to read, write and be with her family in her spare time.
Tonya - In the past 5 years Tonya has worked in an elementary school with children with special needs. She loves watching children grow and learn from their surroundings. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, fishing, camping going for walks and watching movies. She has been married for 6 years and has 2 cats, Kenya and Olivia. She is also expecting twins in December so she will be leaving us at that time to be a stay at home mom!
Jessica – Jessica has a BA in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University and has taught preschool previously. She loves having the opportunity to help children succeed. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys running and going for walks with her family which consists of her husband and 2 year old daughter.
Curious Caterpillars (Young Toddlers)
Anjanet – Anjanet has over 5 years in child care. She has a BA in Human Services and is currently getting her CDA certificate. She enjoys camping, reading and hiking and spending time with her family. She has a 5 yr. old daughter and two dogs named Chaos and Lady.
Brittany – Brittany has 8 years of experience in working with children. Additionally, she has a Bachelor Degree from the University of MN Duluth in Health and Physical Education. She enjoys working with children because it is a different experience every day and she loves to watch the children learn new things. In her free time, she enjoys scrap booking, and crafting, and watching almost any sport.
Busy Bees (Older Toddlers)
Cindy – Cindy has an AAS Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching for over 10 years as well as being a mother of two and a “big kid” herself. In Cindy’s free time she enjoys making and selling her crafts, hiking, spending time with her family and snowmobiling. She has been married for 27 years and has two children; her son is a Marine serving overseas and her daughter attends college in Michigan. Her favorite childhood memory was climbing up trees and getting real dirty, which make Cindy a perfect match for our Toddlers!!
Tessa – Tessa holds a BS Degree in Sociology and has been working with children over four years. In her spare time, Tessa enjoys fishing, four-wheeling and playing with her son, Haden. She also has two step-daughters who are active in marching band and cheer leading.
Delightful Dragonflies (Preschool)
Tamara - Tamara has been teaching preschool for almost 7 years. What she enjoys most about working with children is seeing them get excited when they learn something new. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, going to movies and shopping.
Katie - Katie has worked in the child care field for 13 years. She enjoys watching the wonder in the eyes of children when they discover new things. In her spare time she enjoys softball, being outdoors and watching football. She is married and has a 2 children ages 2 and 5. She absolutely loves to EAT POPCORN!
Jamie G.- Jamie has over 6 years experience in working with Preschool and School Age children. She loves that everyday brings new excitement and wonders to children’s imaginations. Jamie is married and has 2 sons ages 1 year and 6 years old. She enjoys camping, skiing and spending time with her family.
Jamie A.- has over 4 years of experience teaching in an early childhood setting. She enjoys seeing things from a child’s perspective of awe, wonder, and discovery. Jamie loves to help plant the seed of lifelong learning! In her free time, Jamie enjoys hiking, biking, and camping with her sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Fabulous Fireflies (Pre – Kindergarten)
Stacey – Stacey has over 10 years of experience in working with children. She loves the creativity and natural wonder that children have. In teaching she feels she is truly guiding children on a path to lifelong learning. She has 2 sons ages 8 and 12. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking and quilting. She also has worked as an interior designer where she has specialized in helping clients declutter and redesign their homes.
Corissa - Corissa has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. In her past she has worked with all different ages of children from infants to preschoolers. She is currently taking online courses in pursuit of a BA Degree in Elementary Education as well as Student teaching.
Nichole – Nichole has over 5 years experience in working with children of all ages. Currently, she is working on her Masters in Education in Learning Technologies. She enjoys reading, sewing, participating in the hand bell choir, camping and hiking. She has a husband and two boys ages 6 and 8.
School Age Program
Jessica – Jessica has a degree in psychology and 5 years of experience working with preschoolers in a center setting. She loves to see the excitement in children’s eyes as they discover and experience new things. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys playing volleyball, reading, walking, watching football, and spending time with her daughters.
